Carbon Trust Overview

The Carbon Trust was set up by the government in 2001 as an independent company. Their mission is to accelerate the move to a low carbon economy by working with organisations to reduce carbon emissions and develop low carbon technologies for commercial purposes.

In early 2008 the Carbon Trust carried out a survey at the Jury's Inn, Glasgow. The objective of this survey was to provide the hotel with advice on energy saving methods.

Other Carbon Trust Resources:

Publications - a wide range of literature on saving energy and reducing carbon emissions, from starter packs & newsletters, to technology and industry specific guides. They also produce strategy reports for energy saving and case studies.

Events - Throughout the year the Carbon Trust runs interactive events on the practical aspects of carbon reduction and energy saving for all types of businesses at locations all over the UK.
